We had another successful Secure360 conference this year. We brought together over 1,200 attendees–professionals including executive level leaders, directors, mid-level managers, technology personnel and consultants from all over the security world to discuss topics ranging from physical security to cyberwarfare. We hosted more than 90 sponsors and exhibitors. There was a lot of energy and more than a few packed meeting rooms!
Things got off to a great start on Monday with our 4-hour preconference presentations on:
- Bring your own device
- Managing vendor security
- Improving business & government continuity plans
- Leveraging CSA GRC stack
- Quantifying data security risks
The sun even chose to shine during our run/walk for ECHO Minnesota.
The conference really got going on Tuesday and Wednesday when we had over 70 breakout sessions, 2 featured sessions, two keynotes and a CSO panel. We heard presentations on topics including risk management, information security, physical security, business continuity planning, data recovery. Exhibitors put on a good show themselves, offering information, shoe shines and even caricatures. Some exhibitors even made the news http://www.sys-con.com/node/2657578
The conversation on Twitter (#Secure360) was amazing this year. We appreciated all the tweets and comments during the week from sponsors, exhibitors and conference attendees. Some comments “overheard” from the conference included:
And for those of you already looking forward to 2014, you can mark May 13th and 14th on your calendars; preconference will be on May 12th. But there’s no reason the fun and free flowing information has to stop now; like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter. We’ll be posting slide decks and handouts on our website soon.
Thanks to everyone for attending and all our sponsors, exhibitors, presenters and volunteers who made this year’s conference a success. We hope you learned a lot and enjoyed yourselves. We certainly did!
We want to hear from you. Let us know what you loved and what we can improve on for next year!
