It’s the most wonderful time of the year… Secure360 is upon us! Everyone at UMSA and Secure360 has worked hard for ages (okay, since last year) to put together the best event yet. We are so excited to show you this year’s sessions, speakers, sponsors, demonstrations, networking opportunities and incredible features of our new venue, Mystic Lake.

Here’s everything you need to know about this year’s event.

Prior Lake, here we come!

We can’t wait to see you Tuesday May 14 and Wednesday May 15 at Mystic Lake Center in Prior Lake, MN! Registration and badge pick up begins at 7AM on Tuesday morning, so stop by and see the friendly faces at the registration desk bright and early! Remember: our first, esteemed keynote, Jack Uldrich, will deliver his presentation at 8AM sharp but we also have a fun announcement happening during the welcome at 7:45am. Below you’ll find a map of the facility and surrounding areas!

For last minute hotel reservations, directions, detailed parking information and more, look no further than our accommodations page!

Download the Secure360 Twin Cities app

We want you to get the most out of your conference experience, so we encourage you to download the conference app before the event begins to gain access to all the app has to offer.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. From your app store, download “CrowdCompass AttendeeHub.” Note: you may need to re-download the app if you have it on your phone already from last year’s conference.
  2. Search for “Secure360” when prompted to “find your event.”
  3. Click the “Secure360 Twin Cities 2019” button and click “download.” Enjoy the lovely loading graphic.
  4. “ALLOW PUSH NOTIFICATIONS.” Please do this – it will help you stay on top of important updates and announcements during the conference.
  5. Login, creating your profile. You will need to watch your inbox for a verification email.
  6. Type in the verification code that was sent to your email.
  7. Connect your app to your social networks (you can choose to skip this step) and finish setting up your profile.
  8. Explore and enjoy!

With the app, you’ll be able to do things like craft your personal schedule and browse speakers, sponsors and other attendees.

Bring your books to have them signed by Jack Uldrich and Tarah Wheeler!

There will be opportunities for a meet-and-greet and book signing following each morning’s keynote presentation. Bring your copies of any of Jack Uldrich’s and Tarah Wheeler’s books to get face time with these incredible speakers! Please note that we will not have any for sale at the conference, but you will have the opportunity to win a book each morning (psssst: check in the journal you will receive when you check in!)

Keep your conference program – drink tickets inside

We all know you’re going to read the conference program from cover to cover, right? That’s why we decided to put two tickets right inside. Tear those out for the end-of-day reception on Tuesday, May 14 to redeem for two free drinks from the bar.

Don’t forget to register for Security Innovation’s CMD+CTRL Cyber Range

We are very excited to partner with Security Innovation to offer attendees a “find the vulnerabilities” game that shows how hackers break into websites and teaches the importance of secure coding habits. All you need is your computer to participate in this hacking experience! Register here to save your spot!

Tradeshow hall will be better than ever

Our tradeshow will be filled with more than 70 sponsors, businesses from all walks of the security life, from start-up companies to those well established in the industry. Get your fill of swag, make invaluable connections with thought leaders and decision-makers and don’t forget to head over to the demo stages behind the escalators (just outside tradeshow hall) to see some of our top sponsors in action!

A note about the demos: seating is limited, so grab a spot while you can. Full demo stage times and descriptions can be found on the conference app, the website and in your conference program.

Did we mention happy hour?

Oh yeah – finish your Tuesday on a great note with our happy hour networking event, kindly provided by your friends at UMSA. This will be held just outside the tradeshow hall in the main hallway. We Minnesotans know the perils of betting on nice weather… BUT. That said, if the weather behaves, take a step outside as well! Mystic is a gorgeous venue that should be taken advantage of and we will have corn hole boards waiting for you to compete with your fellow conference mates.

B-I-N-G-O? More like P-O-W-E-R.

Want a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card? All you have to do is fill out your POWER card located inside your conference program (are you sensing a theme here? When in doubt, check your program) and drop it off at the UMSA booth in the main hallway by noon on Wednesday.

CPE/CEU certificates

Certificates that can be used to submit for CEP/CEU hours will be sent to conference attendees approximately one week after the event. Questions? Contact the conference director here.

Let’s get social

Don’t forget to snap some great photos of yourself and others in our photo booth! Located near the escalators, use the hashtag #SEC360 all weekend! Also, follow along and connect with us on all our social networks! We’re active on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and have a group on LinkedIn that you are encouraged to join!

Volunteer opportunities

After Secure360 is over and you know you want to get involved, UMSA has plenty of opportunities to get involved in the security community. Consider attending the annual meeting to learn more about these opportunities, open board positions and to join the team! For more information, visit the UMSA booth in the main hallway or shoot us an email.
