This session will focus on ways to utilize LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook for social networking that leads to professional development, growth and increased industry awareness/career opportunities. Join us for a fun discussion on the basics of how to use each of these three channels effectively and a look at what’s “up and coming” in the world of social media. This session provides a great opportunity for participants to ask questions and get some hands-on help. The last 20 minutes of the session will be dedicated to real-time questions and assistance. Handouts for future reference will also be provided.
About Melissa Harrison
Melissa Harrison is CEO and founder of Allee Creative, a content marketing and branding agency in the Twin Cities. She also serves as the marketing director for the Secure360 events and has been working with UMSA for the past 5 years. Melissa is a seasoned marketing professional with more than 13 years experience in marketing strategy and content management, branding and business development. Her accolades include being listed as one of the “Top Young Entrepreneurs” by Minnesota Business Magazine, a “Top Content Marketer” by the Content Marketing Institute, and “Mover & Shaker” by the Star Tribune.
Melissa is a four-time recipient of the Hermes Creative Award and a national speaker on the topics of content marketing, business strategy and entrepreneurship. Melissa is also certified by Google Analytics Academy in Digital Analytics Fundamentals. In 2015 she was named one of 100 women to watch in the U.S. as part of The Inspirational Women Project, highlighted in a book of the same title.
Melissa currently sits on the Board of Directors for Neighborhood Connections in St. Michael, MN and also serves as a volunteer at her children’s schools.
