The presentation will focus on the latest cyber threat environment, from hacking to theft of trade secrets, and will discuss why companies and security professionals should work closely with the government to address this growing threat.
- Develop relationships with the FBI and/or Secret Service before an incident occurs
- Contact the FBI and/or Secret Service as soon as you become aware of an incident
- Figure out where your sensitive information is located and take appropriate steps to secure it.
- Create an incident response plan in advance
About Brian L. Levine

Brian L. Levine serves as Senior Counsel and National CHIP Coordinator in the Department of Justice’s Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section (“CCIPS”). Prior to joining CCIPS, Mr. Levine served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Internet Bureau at the New York Attorney General’s Office; a county prosecutor in Detroit, Michigan; and a civil litigator in Silicon Valley. Mr. Levine has clerked for federal judges in the Southern District of Florida and on the Seventh Circuit. He earned his J.D. from New York University, and his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
