FBI Cyber Case Study

About SSA Stephanie Cassioppi

Supervisory Special Agent Stephanie M. Cassioppi grew up in the Midwest. In 2004, she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems with minors in Business and Mathematics. Prior to joining the FBI, she was employed as a Computer Programmer for several large companies in Phoenix, Arizona. SSA Cassioppi joined the FBI in 2008. Her first office of assignment was to the Springfield Division, Fairview Heights Resident Agency in Illinois. There she served on a Cyber squad as a Special Agent investigating both Criminal and National Security computer intrusions, as well as Crimes against Children. She also served as a member of the Tactical Operations Center for the Springfield SWAT team. In 2016,  she was promoted to SSA in the Cyber Division’s Cyber Operations Section I, Middle East Africa Unit in Chantilly, Virginia. In June 2018, SSA Cassioppi was selected as the Field Supervisory Special Agent for the Minneapolis Division’s Cyber squad.
