For most emergency preparedness and security professionals, leading yourself, your team, and your program in today’s “everything presents a risk” environment has proven to be an exercise in survival. From the countless risks and incidents we are preparing for, responding to, and mitigating against, to the bureaucracy and budget limitations we must manage through. How does one go from just “surviving” in this environment to a state of “thriving”? This presentation will highlight real world risk management and leadership experiences that clearly demonstrate how properly executed business strategies and practices can in fact transition one’s self, team, and program from merely surviving to a state of organizational success and “thriving”.
