In this fun, energetic session we’ll take a look at some of the principles used in managing security within the prison system to keep inmates both secured and safe, and look at how these same principles apply to web development.

We’ll also take a look at some of the common mistakes and misconceptions of security used within web development, how damaging the consequences can be, and how easily they can be corrected.

Key learning points:
  • An understanding of common web vulnerabilities and dangers
  • A good understanding of web development security procedures
  • An understanding of "offline" and "online" security techniques
