Barry Caplin is the first CISO for Fairview Health Services, responsible for HIPAA-compliant information security, policy and architecture. He has 35 years in technology/security, an MS in applied mathematics from Virginia Tech, and CISSP, ISSMP, CISA, and CISM certifications. Mat Wilcek has 15 years experience specializing in the areas of IT security and operations, business continuity/disaster recovery and incident response. When not working, Mat’s hobbies include teaching information security, presenting at conferences/round tables and grilling – weather permitting.
Alex Bauert has over 25 years of IT experience with 15 of those years spent in leadership for architecture and application security roles. He has built and enhanced application security programs at several large and medium enterprises across various industries. Bauert has also been leading the Minneapolis St. Paul OWASP Chapter since 2012. He enjoys coaching high school and club soccer.
Kelley Archer has over 23 years in IT Security and an additional 10 years in physical security. He is an active member of the Minnesota ISSA Chapter and UMSA. Archer is an adjunct instructor at Century College and provides free identity theft prevention briefings for the elderly. He was also one of the co-founders of Secure360, the largest annual security conference in the upper Midwest, held in May each year.
