In 2011 the Minnesota Legislature enacted legislation that consolidated all IT under one organization, MN.IT Services. Plans are now underway to implement IT consolidation, including the consolidation of certain core information security services. This presentation will discuss the roadmap and framework to transform and align information security services in the newly consolidated IT organization.

About Christopher Buse

Christopher Buse serves as Assistant Commissioner and Chief Information Security Officer for the State of Minnesota’s central technology agency, known as MN.IT Services. In this capacity, Christopher is responsible for designing and implementing the enterprise security architecture for state government. He also oversees other technology leadership services, including enterprise architecture, geospatial information systems, product and procurement standards, and project and portfolio management oversight. Before accepting this position in MN.IT Services, Christopher served as the Manager of Information Technology Audits for the Minnesota Office of the Legislative Auditor.
Christopher Buse graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Christopher is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
