The Business Continuity Planners Association (BCPA), based in Minneapolis – St.Paul, has supported business professionals with a non-profit, mutual benefit association for those participating in Business Continuity, Emergency Management, Crisis Management, Disaster Recovery, Vendor Resiliency planning or a related professional vocation since 1994.
The Information Systems Security Association (ISSA)® is a not-for-profit, international organization of information security professionals and practitioners. It provides educational forums, publications, and peer interaction opportunities that enhance the knowledge, skill, and professional growth of its members. The Minnesota Chapter of ISSA is focused on providing valuable information, resources, and events to our local community.

With approximately 1200 members from over 100 organizations, we are the premier organization for information technology audit and control professionals in Minnesota and surrounding areas.
Our aim is to sponsor local educational seminars and workshops, conduct regular chapter meetings, and help to further promote and elevate the visibility of the IT governance, IS audit, control and security profession throughout the state of Minnesota.

Our mission is to create a safe environment where information security practitioners can openly share expertise and ideas, providing practical, relevant, useful and timely information that, when applied, will develop and promote the (ISC)2 CISSP CBK®. help support the Information Security and Cyber Security Communities of the Upper Midwest.
The objectives of this chapter are to:
• Educate: Provide low cost (or no-cost), high impact educational opportunities for both new and seasoned information security practitioners.
• Network: Create an environment that encourages relationship building and professional growth via networking and creating Mentorship opportunities
• Transform: Provide a forum for the free exchange of bold, innovative, transformative ideas to advance the perception and effectiveness of information security.

InfraGard is a partnership between the FBI and the private sector. Minnesota has an active InfraGard chapter that provides a vehicle for timely communication between members and the FBI. InfraGard’s membership includes business leaders, subject matter experts, state and local law enforcement; each dedicated to contributing industry specific insight and advancing national security.

Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) is the premier organization with national reach dedicated to bringing together women and allies in cybersecurity from academia, research and industry to share knowledge, experience, networking and mentoring. WiCyS Minnesota is the 13th national affiliate organization with focus to bridge regional resources with the local cybersecurity community.

The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) is the world’s leading organization dedicated to defining and raising awareness of best practices to help ensure a secure cloud computing environment. The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) is a nonprofit foundation that works to improve the security of software. Through community-led open source software projects, hundreds of local chapters worldwide, tens of thousands of members, and leading educational and training conferences, the OWASP Foundation is the source for developers and technologists to secure the web.
